About Rowadu

From Indonesia, by Indonesians, for Indonesia.

Despite being one of the largest agrarian countries in the world, farmers in Indonesia continue to live under poverty. Based on datas from the institute of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in 2016, 14% of people living under the poverty line live in rural areas with large farmer communities.

Things are indeed slowly getting better, but we as a small company refuse to stay complacent. We believe that any small contribution would count in overcoming this huge issue.

Indonesian-owned Rowadu was born out of a wish to promote 100% Indonesian products, to give back to Indonesian farmers. We chose the word Rowadu from a local lingo in East Indonesia that translates to “to be the helping hand that passes on the gift from mother nature.”

Doing direct trade is the only way to go. Direct trade cuts down the supply chain and immediately connects us to the farmers, enabling us to give a better price for both the farmers and you, the consumer. We are currently sourcing from Arenga and tea farmers in Banten, as well as coffee farmers in Toraja.

In the future, we hope to continue to improve the livelihood of more farmers and create more natural products for you to enjoy at home.
